Getting Ready

One of the things I’ve learned over the years is that it’s best to start getting a packing plan together ahead of time.

Packing for EDC is actually easier for me now. I keep a bin of things I like to wear at festivals—stuff I wouldn’t normally wear in the “real world.”

I don’t do elaborate costumes like some people. I keep it simple and comfortable.

Tennis skirts, crop tops, tennis shoes… things that are easy but still feel fun.

If I do buy anything new to add, it’s usually from thrift stores… or little accessories I can give away during the festival if the opportunity presents itself.

I got my bags out, which is probably more bags than I actually need, put on one of my favorite sets from last year, and started sorting through everything.

Surprisingly, it was Kaskade. Normally not my jam.

Dancing around while trying things on, making sure everything still fit, and organizing it all not only makes packing more fun, it also puts me right back under those lights from last year, surrounded by all that love.

Honestly, it just gets me even more hyped to get back out on the dance floor.

Now my bags are out in the living room, which has my dog pretty upset.

Outfits are organized.
Bathing suits are dialed in.
And the treats I want to hand out are almost set.

At this point, it’s starting to feel really close.
